To mitigate the weakening of the optical signal from excessive splitting, the F1L-RG2 splits the signal once, before duplicating and regenerating the monitor signal. The two output signals can be connected to two separate monitoring systems, to be filtered and analyzed in different ways.

In certain situations, it is useful to set up more than one monitoring system on a single link. The C1-1G-RG2 is designed to facilitate such a situation. It duplicates and outputs traffic from one in-line link to up to two monitoring systems. The C1-1G-RG2 is a cost-effective solution that provides a secure access to monitor full-duplex 10/100/1000 Mbps traffic at wire speed. The C1-1G-RG2 features a fail-safe in-line design that ensures uninterrupted network operation in case of power loss. This allows the traffic to pass through the TAPs even when power is disrupted. The integrated Data Diode feature protects the network from any injection of data from the monitor ports.
