ProfiShark 10G+ is a powerful, versatile portable network TAP, with advanced timestamping capabilities. It is a portable network TAP, with additional GPS/GLONASS input for UTC timestamping, and PPS input/output for timestamp synchronization.
ProfiShark 10G+ accepts 1G fiber, 10G fiber, 1G copper, and 10G copper SFPs, bringing the ease of use and performance of the ProfiShark design to new heights. Powered by USB 3.0, the ProfiShark 10G+ captures network traffic — packets of all sizes and types — with high resolution hardware timestamping. The packets can in turn be analyzed with Wireshark or any network analyzer. To streamline the analysis process and save storage space, hardware filters help you capture only the data you need.
The ProfiShark series includes other essential features, such as packet slicing, statistics, configuration options, and high-performance capture to disk, through our own ProfiShark Manager application.

ProfiSharks are portable traffic capture devices that provide quick packet-level insight anywhere they are deployed. With capture regardless of packet rate and high quality hardware timestamping, ProfiShark delivers high fidelity capture files, forming an ideal starting point for troubleshooting or network forensics. Designed for easy, non-intrusive traffic capture, ProfiShark offers a valuable improvement over less performant options, such as SPAN ports on a switch or direct capture on a laptop. They give reliable insight into the network, ensuring the quality of analysis, and optimizing workflow, without dropping any packets.
Connected via USB to a host PC or laptop, in-line or out-of-band traffic can be forwarded directly to packet analyzer software, like Wireshark, or stored to disk. To ensure optimum network protection, the monitored network is physically separated from the management interface. The capture control and hardware settings can be managed via the included ProfiShark Manager application.

ProfiShark 10G+ can be configured in either in-line mode, or out-of-band, monitoring traffic from SPAN/mirror ports or external TAPs.
Compatible with many protocol analsyzerProfiShark is often used in combination with Wireshark for protocol analysis, and can also be combined with any other traffic analyzer.
Physical isolationThe monitored network is physically isolated from the management interface, to avoid any risk of injection or MITM attack through the device.
